This is a nonpartisan group of leaders and connectors who help to provide access\, information\, and proactive engagement that enhances the economic environment of West Des Moines businesses\, and community. This group will:\n\n \n\n	Educate by providing situational awareness and information to members about relevant issues.\n\n  \n\n\n	Engage members with the process and introduce them to the decision makers in the process.\n\n  \n\n\n	Encourage policies that are good for members of the Chamber and the City of West Des Moines.\n\n  \n\n\n\nWe are looking forward to hosting Iowa State Senator Dan Dawson at the May 24th CIVIC CONNECT MEET YOUR LEGISLATURES ROUNDTABLE from 2:00-3:00pm at the WDM Chamber. He and his wife\, Chrystal\, have two children: Alex and Madelyn.\n\nSenator Dawson graduated from Bellevue University in Bellevue\, Nebraska\, with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice administration. He currently serves in the Iowa Army National Guard\, where he earned his current rank of Chief Warrant Officer Four. He has honorably served his country for the past 24 years\, mobilizing four times with deployments to Kosovo\, Iraq\, and twice to Afghanistan.\n\nSenator Dawson is currently a special agent with the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation\, where he works in the Major Crimes Unit.
