Once complete in 2027\, the project is expected to have an assessed value of more than $69.5 million.\n\n\n\nPresented by Aureon\, this special event will take place June 26 from 3:00 5:00 PM at Ricochet Lounge\, located just steps from the tower at 400 Locust Street.\n\n\n\nGuests will hear more about this landmark project and have the opportunity to sign up for limited hard hat tours of the tower while it is still under construction. Tours are limited to 25 people per tour and will be offered on a first-come\, first-served basis.\n\n\n\nThis is your chance to see the future of downtown Des Moines taking shape up close.\n\n\n\nFree to attend. Registration is required. Beverages are not hosted. \n\n\n \n\nTour Disclaimer & Safety Information:\n\nThis event will feature a brief presentation about the 515 Walnut Tower\, followed by limited\, guided tours of the tower. Tours will be offered in groups of 25\, with two groups touring at the same time using separate elevators and guides. Each tour will take approximately 35 minutes\, with a total of six tours available.\n\nIf you plan to participate in a tour\, please wear sturdy\, closed-toed shoes. Protective equipment will be provided\, including hard hats and bright safety vests.\n\nPlease note: Tour participants will ride a construction elevator\, known as a buck hoist\, which will travel up several floors. This ride may feel jumpy and may not be smooth. Those who are uncomfortable with heights\, enclosed construction elevators\, or who have health conditions that could be impacted by this experience should carefully consider whether the tour is appropriate for them.
