DESCRIPTION:Governor Kim Reynolds and West Des Moines Mayor Russ Trimble have declared January 28 the official Day of Kindness for our community and entire state. \n\n\n\nOne part of the WDM Leadership Academy's mission is to make a positive impact on the community. However\, the impact doesn't end when they graduate. WDMLA Alumni continue to prioritize this responsibility for years to come. \n\n\n\nWDMLA Alumni leaders recognize the importance of kindness\, now more than ever. In 2021\, they created a new initiative: Day of Kindness. We are so excited to continue this tradition in 2022. Small acts of kindness can make the biggest difference in someone's life. \n\n\n\nWe challenge all community members to be intentional with acts of kindness on January 28th. Pay it forward in your line for coffee\, show appreciation for our frontline workers\, shovel a neighbor's driveway\, send a thoughtful text to someone who might need some positive words.\n\n\n\nBig or small\, monetary or action-oriented\, anonymous or direct let's make a difference on January 28.
