DESCRIPTION:What was originally created by West Des Moines Leadership Academy Alumni in 2021 for the local community\, has since spread to be a statewide day of impact for Iowan everywhere. Day of Kindness exists to encourage businesses\, leaders\, students\, and community members to find a way to spread a little kindness.\n\n \n\nTo celebrate\, we're encouraging businesses\, friends\, and family to bring new pairs of socks to the WDM Chamber office on February 27. All socks will be donated to West Des Moines Human Services through "Socks of Love"\, a nonprofit founded by WDMLA alum\, Mick Grossman. We've got some big socks to fill if we want to beat last year's record of 3\,432 new pairs! Feel free to order online for delivery instead using our Amazon Wish List. \n\n\n\nNo RSVP needed - just swing by with your donation and enjoy some donuts & coffee as a thank you for kicking off Day of Kindness with us.
