DESCRIPTION:*Scroll to bottom if you can't make it on the 28th but still want to support!\n\n\n\nWhat was originally created by West Des Moines Leadership Academy Alumni in 2021 for the local community\, has since spread to be a statewide day of impact for Iowan everywhere. Day of Kindness exists to encourage businesses\, leaders\, students\, and community members to find a way to spread a little kindness.\n\n \n\nTo celebrate\, we're encouraging businesses\, friends\, and family to bring new pairs of socks to the WDM Chamber office on February 28. All socks will be donated to West Des Moines Human Services through "Socks of Love"\, a nonprofit founded by WDMLA alum\, Mick Grossman. We've got some big socks to fill if we want to beat last year's record of 2\,000 new pairs!\n\n\n\nNo RSVP needed - just swing by with your donation and enjoy some donuts & coffee as a thank you for kicking off Day of Kindness with us. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCan't make it on February 28 but want to be a part of this Day of Kindness drive? Feel free to order socks online (Amazon Wish List) & have them shipped to the WDM Chamber office instead! We just ask that you do so in time for us to receive them by February 28 so we can bring all donations to WDM Human Services at once. Thank you!
