DESCRIPTION:The new student-led group\, RISE (Refugee and Immigrant Student Embassy)\, at Valley High School has completed their first major project - a multicultural mural at VHS! \n\n\n\nRISE has worked very hard since January 2022 on this project - advocating for the need of the R&I community to be represented through art at VHS\, interviewing artists and selecting Jill Wells Art\, and working with Jill to design the piece. \n\n\n\nPlease join us to celebrate RISE and this gorgeous\, new mural!\n\n\n\nThis event is free and open to the community! Please pass along to others who may be interested.\n\n\n\nKaram's Mediterranean Grill will be at the reception!\n\n\n\nHamid Karam is originally from Morocco and came to the US in 2002. He began his career at Tyson Foods and over the years gained more experience in the food industry. In 2007\, Karam was able to pursue his passion for food and cooking and started a food cart. As popularity for his food grew\, Karam added a second food cart - and both successful food carts grew into the big green trucks that are well-known around DSM today!
