DESCRIPTION:Join the West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce and the City of West Des Moines at a Candidate Forum on October 24th from 5:30-7:00pm at the West Des Moines City Hall in Council Chambers at 4200 Mills Civic Pkwy\, West Des Moines\, IA 50265. This event is free and is open to the public\, you do not need to register to attend. You can also view this event via livestream on the City of West Des Moines' YouTube Channel here. Elections are held on November 7\, 2023. Moderating the event is Katherine Harrington   President & CEO / West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce.\n\n\n\nWe invite you to ask questions in advance\, CLICK HERE to share your questions. Due to time constraints\, we will not be taking any questions during the event.\n\n \n\nThe Mayor and City Council serve on the legislative and policy-making body for the City of West Des Moines. As elected representatives of the citizens\, the Mayor and City Council provide the policy direction and program guidance necessary to direct the community's economic\, social and physical development.\n\n \n\nThe Mayor and two council members are elected at-large\, while the other three council members are elected by ward.
