LWBJ—one of the Midwest’s leading CPA, consulting and M & A firms-–seeks an experienced professional looking for an opportunity to advance their career in our West Des Moines office. This is a hands-on position that requires transaction processing and account reconciliation skills.
The ideal candidates will have 1-3 years of accounting or finance experience with a drive to provide exceptional client service and enjoy a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. The ability to acclimate quickly to our customer focused and value added environment is critical.

In this role, you will:
• Process and record cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed asset, payroll and/or inventory transactions in an accurate and timely manner using various accounting software systems;
• Prepare and record journal entries, accruals and other adjustments in an accurate and timely manner;
• Create or compile financial statements;
• Prepare analyses and supporting calculations of related adjustments;
• Update client records and work to improve efficiencies;
• Perform other miscellaneous duties.
You should possess:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance;
• 1-3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills;
• Ability to balance multiple projects with competing deadlines;
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem solving and decision making skills;
• Proficiency in QuickBooks® and Microsoft Office;
• Strong work ethic and respect for diversity, as well as a commitment to continually acquire new personal and professional skills and knowledge;
• Ability to understand and apply new tools and a desire to identify innovative solutions to use technology to improve efficiency, effectiveness and collaboration.
