Proclamation of Recognition for the Library Friends Foundation

West Des Moines, Iowa, August 19, 2021 – On August 16, the Mayor and City Council of West Des Moines issued a Proclamation of Recognition to recognize and honor the West Des Moines Library Friends Foundation. The proclamation included references to the support provided for the library since the Foundation was formed in 1991, including the recent financial support for both the Valley Junction 24-hour Library Kiosk and the Library Teen Center as part of the renovation of the library building.

All are from the West Des Moines area.



The West Des Moines Library Friends Foundation supports the West Des Moines Public Library and the many services, materials, and programs it provides to the community.
