WDM and Clive Chambers to host annual Mentoring for Women event

WEST DES MONES, IA (TUESDAY, JULY 13, 2021) – The West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce (WDM Chamber) in partnership with the Clive Chamber of Commerce is excited to bring the fourth annual Mentoring for Women event to the West Des Moines Sheraton on Thursday, July 29. The event supported by NCMIC and championed by IMT Insurance will last from 7:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Programming will consist of breakfast, networking, a keynote address and three breakout coaching sessions with mentors.

“This event provides a tremendous opportunity for women to learn the best advice from some of the top leaders in our region,” said Katherine Harrington, president and CEO of the WDM Chamber. “Not only will attendees take away inspiration, motivation, and knowledge from area change makers, they will also have the opportunity to network with others and build new connections that will last a lifetime.”

Liz Nead will serve as the keynote to kick off the event. Liz is an adventure speaker, traveling the world and taking on challenges to find lessons of leadership, communication diversity and inclusion. A diversity speaker and researcher for over a decade, she specializes common language and daily communication around race and cultural differences in the workplace. Liz has served as an executive coach and consultant for DEI challenges for companies like PayPal, News Corp, National Guard and YWCA. Liz is a television host and author, writing several Amazon best sellers, most recently “The 1440 Principle.” She also won a regional Emmy for her television show, “Life Dare.”

Registration for this event is $35 for members and $45 for nonmembers, with a corporate table option for 8 available for $280.
