WDM Chamber Announces Speakers for Second Annual Tina Talks

WEST DES MONES, IA (TUESDAY May 9, 2023) – The West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce (WDM Chamber) has announced six speakers for its second annual Tina Talks, held on June 6 at The Monroe in West Des Moines Iowa.

Giving voices to female leaders in the region, the mission of Tina Talks is to challenge, motivate, inspire, and move attendees. At this event six women will share their impactful stories that will provide attendees with actional nuggets of information and inspiration. This year's theme is #LeadHERship.

Expert speakers include:

Angela Franklin - President & CEO - Des Moines University
Rosemary Parson - SVP Administrations & Community Relations - EquiTrust Life Insurance
Blanca Plascencia - Owner - El Fogon Restaurants
Claudia Schabel - President & CEO - Schabel Solutions
Connie Wimer - Chairman - Business Publications Corporation

“We are so excited about this year’s speakers,” said Katherine Harrington, President & CEO of the West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce. “Each presenter this year is an important leader across the entire state of Iowa and many of them have won awards for their work both professionally and personally.”

The event begins promptly at 2:00 p.m. with the first speaker taking the stage. A cocktail reception will follow at 4:00 p.m. Registration is now open, and tickets are available for $37 for WDM Chamber members and $47 for non-members.
