WDM CHAMBER BRINGS ON TWO SPRING INTERNS

WEST DES MONES, IA (January 6, 2021) – The West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce (WDM Chamber) welcomed two new spring interns to their team in the new year. Ling Rudicil and Matthew Bates will serve in their roles throughout their spring semesters. Michael Conlon, Frani McDermott, Corinne Thomas, and Mallory Behrens will continue in their previous intern positions.

Ling Rudicil is from Kansas City, Missouri. She is a student at Simpson College, where she majors in Human Services and Social Justice. Her intended graduation date is May of 2021. At Simpson, Rudicil is a George Washing Carver National Fellow and serves as a Multicultural Undergraduate Assistant. In her free time, she enjoys playing volleyball, reading, traveling, watching movies, and volunteering. Rudicil will be serving as the WDM Chamber’s Business Development Intern, a role in which she will be helping to better serve and promote the WDM Chamber’s small and diverse business members.

Matthew Bates is from West Des Moines, Iowa. He studies finance at Iowa State University, where he has made the Dean’s List every semester he has attended. His intended graduation date is May of 2021. Some of Bates’s hobbies include hiking, traveling, and spending time outdoors. He will be serving as the WDM Chamber’s Finance Intern, a role in which he will be assisting in compiling financial resources for the WDM Chamber’s membership to utilize.
