WEST DES MOINES CHAMBER AND SUPERSTORM RESTORATION ANNOUNCE THREE YEAR PRESENTING PARTNERSHIP FOR RACCOON RIVER RALLY FALL FESTIVAL

WEST DES MONES, IA (TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, 2022) – The West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce (WDM Chamber) has announced a three-year partnership with Urbandale-based Superstorm Restoration which aligns the roofing company as the presenting sponsor for West Des Moines’ annual fall festival, Raccoon River Rally. This year’s event will take place October 8, 2022 at Raccoon River Park in West Des Moines.
 
“The Raccoon River Rally is a community-fueled celebration, and we cannot be more excited to partner with a company so incredibly supportive of our local community like Superstorm Restoration,” said Katherine Harrington, President and CEO of the WDM Chamber. “As a result of their investment and partnership, we will continue to celebrate our local community through the [Raccoon River] Rally and position West Des Moines as the best place to live, work, and play.”
 
The Raccoon River Rally presented by Superstorm Restoration will feature activities for attendees of all ages including a bike ride exploring West Des Moines’ trail system, cardboard boat races, food trucks, local Iowa craft beer, a fun zone for children, live music featuring Iowa-based bands Stranger Than Fiction and The Nadas, and a business expo featuring local area businesses and organizations.
 
“We’ve enjoyed the support of the Des Moines community since we started in 1997,” said Chandler Steffy, owner of Superstorm Restoration. “Over the years, we’ve supported numerous causes and events, and we are very proud to be able to make a substantial, long-term commitment to the Raccoon River Rally as it builds momentum. Neighbors helping neighbors – that’s what we’re all about.”
 
Additionally, a portion of all sponsorship proceeds from the festival directly support the Athene Pedestrian Bridge capital campaign. The bridge, once built, will connect Raccoon River Park to Walnut Woods State Park. The project is one of five signature ‘quality of life’ in the City of West Des Moines Five Waters Project.
