West Des Moines Library Friends Foundation Donates $350,000 for New Teen Center

West Des Moines, Iowa, June 22, 2021 –The West Des Moines Library Friends Foundation provided a $350,000 donation to assist with creating a dedicated Teen Center in the library. This space was created with teens in mind and was developed in-part with the Library’s Teen Advisory Board which helped make decisions on the layout and functionality of the space. This new space is where the library cafe’s space used to be. The West Des Moines Library Friends Foundation’s contribution covered half the cost of construction. The West Des Moines Public Library recently hosted an open house to commemorate this newly completed renovation.
