Engineered Performance by DMOS is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to join the team! This role will be focused on examining and rehabilitating patients back to their normal daily activities in the athletic and general population. This full-time provider opportunity will be scheduled to work Monday - Friday at our Engineered Performance by DMOS location in Ankeny, Iowa. Do I want to do this job? You will be working with patients experiencing orthopedic pain and injuries. You will act in a kind, encouraging and consistent method when working with athletes, patients and clinical professionals. You will have conversations with patients who may be striving for growth or getting back to their activities of daily living. You may gather information accurately and quickly about athletes and patients about their goals, history, and situation. You are understanding that they may not always be pleasant, however, they are very grateful. You will work in a place that expects outstanding experiences. You will be naturally curious, friendly and helpful. You can work the hours for this position which include Monday thru Friday 8AM - 5PM (hours based on the need of the clinic).
Can I do this job? You must be able to be on your feet and standing for this job. You must be able to help patients on and off a table. You have great communication and documentation skills. You can think on your feet. You use patient information for clinic use only. You are able to be curious in conversations and practice active listening with compassion and empathy.
What does an outstanding Physical Therapist have in terms of background? Successful candidates in clinic may have had experience in a medical facility working with patients and/or athletes. A doctorate's degree in Physical Therapy. An active license to practice in the state of Iowa as a Physical Therapist.
