Marc Dummer is one of Principal Asset Management's leading voices on the economy, financial markets, and investment strategy. As a Managing Director and Client Portfolio Manager, Marc regularly speaks to business leaders, investors, financial professionals, and institutional clients across the United States, providing timely insights into the forces shaping the global economy and what they mean for organizations, investors, and communities.
Drawing on more than two decades of investment experience, Marc helps audiences understand complex economic trends—from inflation and interest rates to market volatility, global events, and long-term investment opportunities—in a practical, engaging, and easy-to-understand way. His presentations combine data-driven analysis with real-world perspective, making him a sought-after speaker for executive meetings, conferences, and industry events nationwide.
At Principal Asset Management, Marc leads the client solutions team representing the firm's multi-asset investment strategies, working with some of the organization's largest and most sophisticated institutional and retail clients. His expertise spans equities, fixed income, real estate, commodities, and alternative investments.
Marc joined Principal in 2003 and previously served as a Portfolio Manager overseeing real asset and liquid alternative strategies. He earned both his MBA and bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Utah and holds the prestigious Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA®) designations.
