Soul Uprising - Elevate with Erin Rollenhagen
Erin Rollenhagen, author of Soul Uprising, only needs to ask four questions to know if you are going to be successful in business. Those four questions are:
● Can you build trust with your team?
● Can you build trust with your clients?
● Do you trust your purpose?
● Do you trust yourself?
During this Elevate session, we will explore why trust is so crucial, how it breaks down, and when and how to make changes to strengthen it.
More about the speaker
Erin Rollenhagen made a name for herself early in life when a protest she led in middle school drew national media attention. She began her technology career as a programmer with a small software firm before founding Entrepreneurial Technologies in 2007. As CEO she is passionate about building the right environment and processes for the ET team to do its best possible work. She also assists with system architecture and design. With a mind designed for growth, discovery, and passion, Erin set out to share what she’s learned in business in her new book, Soul Uprising. When you start out on any new venture, you have a vision. You’re excited about your mission. You’re not worried about what other people think or what could go wrong. You just want to get in there and make a difference. Then reality sets in. The world can be a cold, hard place. Little by little, your focus turns from chasing your dreams to survival. At some point you find yourself asking, Am I cut out for this? Why are life and business so hard?
Erin Rollenhagen knows this journey well. As an entrepreneur in Des Moines, Iowa, in the field of technology, she is accustomed to navigating a world where everything about her—from her appearance to her management style—is not the norm. But Erin believes that business doesn’t have to be cutthroat and heartless, and your authenticity is one of your greatest assets. Soul Uprising will nudge you to explore your own journey and how to silence the inner battles and get back to what you love to do. Through stories, research, and practical tips, you’ll learn how to strip away the armor that is holding you back and step fully into the role you are meant for—with no apologies. Erin has founded or co-founded 3 tech startups and is also active in the community including the Technology Association of Iowa and the Future Ready Iowa Alliance. Erin is a proud graduate of the University of Iowa. She lives in the Des Moines area with her beloved corgi, Bruno.
