Account Executive
Description
Job Purpose:
The Account Executive builds relationships with clients, qualify, consult and sell personal lines, long term disability, and group Term Life products to meet the customers’ unique needs. The Account Executive represents the agency in a manner that instills trust and confidence with the customer. The Account Executive works with the Agency’s insurance company partners to build strong relationships. The Account Executive assists in handling complex customer service-related issues as well as assisting the client though the claims submission process. The Account Executive assists in policy retention efforts as needed.
Essential Functions:
Develop relationships with prospective customers to promote the sale of personal lines, long term disability, and group term life insurance products. Consult directly with prospects and clients to proactively recommend and sell products and services to meet their insurance needs through our partnerships with insurance carriers. Answer questions and provide coverage evaluation and quotes based upon the needs of the prospects. Build awareness of other NCMIC Group products and make referrals where appropriate. |

Prepare proposals and issue policies through our partnerships with insurance carriers. Ensure accuracy when inputting customer information in insurance carrier quoting systems. Reviews and evaluates policies issued to ensure they match the coverage requested and are accurate to avoid gaps in coverage. |

Develop relationships with carrier personnel and stay updated on coverage modifications and administration processes for each carrier. |

Assist with complex customer service and claims related inquiries |

Assists with retention of personal lines, long term disability, and group term life policies. |

Performs other job-related duties as assigned. |
Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred. Personal, Commercial, and Life Accident and Health insurance agent license required or must obtain license within one month of employment. Requires the ability to meet insurer appointment criteria to represent the Agency as applicable.
Experience: 2-3 years of insurance sales required, preferably in personal lines and/or life insurance.
Skills: Ability to qualify, sell, and consult with prospects and clients on property & casualty insurance needs. Ability to communicate effectively, develop a rapid relationship, and motivate prospects on the purchase of products. Requires strong closing skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills. An ideal candidate is self-motivated and has the ability to multi-task. Requires proficiency with basic computer technology.
Mental Demands: Must have the ability to focus on tasks for extended periods of time. Must be flexible and have the ability to work with a variety of tasks and employees. Ability to plan, organize, be detail and deadline oriented and maintain a high accuracy rate.
Physical Demands: Continuous sitting for extended periods of time. Some walking, standing, bending, and reaching. Frequent use of fingers and hands to manipulate computer, telephone and other office equipment.
