Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated VP of Treasury Management Sales, to join our team in West Des Moines, IA. In this role, you will actively solicit and develop new business banking relationships that utilize Treasury Management products and services. You will provide leadership and develop Treasury Management strategies to increase market penetration and maximize revenue.  You will be at the forefront of our efforts to support local businesses and stimulate economic growth in the communities we serve.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Product Expertise & Consultation:  Collaborate with relationship managers to proactively sell essential Treasury Management solutions with a consultative and client-focused framework to prospective and existing clients. Ensure proper execution of agreements, set up documentation, adherence to applicable rules and regulations.
  • Implementation & Support:  Coordinate the onboarding and training of Treasury Management clients in partnership with the relationship manager and TM Services. Lead Relationship Reviews and profitability analysis for TM clients and provide applicable reporting to various departments and committees.
  • Sales & Business Development:  Drive the Bank's business development strategy, attend networking events, initiate individual and joint sales calls, and actively market Treasury Management products and services, both externally and internally.  Analyze potential markets/segments to find opportunities for revenue growth through successful prospecting and sourcing of new Treasury Management relationships.
  • Process Improvement: Identify the need for new products and process improvements based on client needs, industry trends, market activities and competitors.
  • Compliance & Risk Management:  Analyze financial information and collaborate with clients and Relationship Managers to manage and monitor appropriate product risk-based exposure limits and provide reporting as necessary.
  • Leadership & Collaboration:  Provide leadership in the office and department meetings to build a positive bank client and employee experience.  Education of TM services for retail managers and retail staff. Provide mentorship and training to junior treasury associates.
 
Qualifications
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 –10 years of experience in Treasury Management, with a minimum of 8 years of prior banking or financial industry experience. Knowledge of sales techniques and principles to effectively market treasury management services.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field. CTP designation preferred.
  • Technical & Analytical Skills: Understanding of banking products and services.   Familiar with TM systems (e.g., Kyriba, G Treasury, SAP).  Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
