Job Summary
The Project and Event Manager is an excellent opportunity to join a successful well-established wholesale insurance company looking to grow to the next level. The role will coordinate and manage insurance distribution driven meetings and company events. A successful candidate will have background knowledge and understanding of creation and maintenance of project budgets, securing and management of vendors/event staff, and ensuring excellent customer service.
Primary Responsibilities:

Event Planning and Sourcing - researching venues, determining/working with vendors, receiving bids, reviewing contracts, and maximizing savings through negotiation of contracts and management of budget.

Management – support event team(s) including assigning and monitoring team deliverables while ensuring team members are providing excellent customer service.

Event Execution - manage and coordinate the entire event, including attending internal and external events, ensuring all elements come together cohesively to ensure client satisfaction.

Marketing and Promotion - responsible for leading cross-functional team to manage the promotional strategy, deciding event theme(s), and communication plan across channels (social media, print, emails, etc.).

Consultation – work with distribution partners, vendors and other stakeholders to communicate, contract and facilitate program options and recommendations.
Primary Skills & Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, Communications, Public Relations or related field of study.

5+ years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience

2+ years of management experience

Ability to work independently within a team environment

Previous experience with Event Management Software is a plus (CVent Preferred)

Willing to travel up to 30%
