Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Credit Analyst II to join our team. In this role you will provide timely and quality financial statement spreads and calculate and determine a borrower’s compliance with loan covenants. You will also assist with the preparation of approval packets for commercial loan requests and annual reviews as well as support the credit risk function of the bank by performing other duties as assigned. You will be at the forefront of our efforts to support local businesses and stimulate economic growth in the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Spread business and personal financial statements and prepare financial analysis.
- Support commercial underwriting by inputting customer information into the loan system (i.e., Abrigo).
- Prepare appropriate cash flow analysis to determine a borrower’s ability to service debt obligations.
- Independently calculate borrower financial covenants for compliance with loan agreements.
- Prepare various reports that support management reporting and tracking.
- Work with Commercial Portfolio Managers to understand client requests and/or current financial performance.
- Attend loan department and other committee meetings.
- Independently researches and analyzes company, industry and economic data.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3 to 5 years Credit Analyst experience required. Prior underwriting experience in commercial banking or other related financial experience desired.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field preferred. Or an equivalent of combined education and relevant work experience.
- Specific Skills: Working knowledge of cash flow, TVM, ordering and reviewing commercial appraisals, useful life of collateral, loan structure and other Banking standard UW metrics.
- Technical & Analytical Skills: Ability to research and understand commercial and commercial real estate lending and banking regulations.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to deal effectively with customers and all levels of the bank organization.
