Job Purpose: 

To provide exceptional service and enhance relationships with Agency customers via email, phone, and other means of communication.  Coordinates with surplus lines broker and surplus lines customers to handle all aspects of surplus lines renewal process.  Works with carrier partners and their respective service centers to handle all service requests related to the commercial lines and personal lines books of business. 

Essential Functions:

1.

Works with surplus lines brokers and Agency customers to coordinate all aspects of surplus lines renewal process including but not limited to; processing renewal in administrative system, collecting information required by carrier, collecting renewal premium, and providing renewal documents to client.

 

2. 

Coordinates with clients and their respective commercial carrier/service center to complete all commercial insurance policy change and customer service requests.  Works with Property Casualty Specialist to retain business.

 

3.

Coordinates with clients and their respective personal lines insurance carrier to complete all personal insurance policy changes and customers service requests.

 

4.

Works with Long Term Disability and Group Term Life customers to process payments and non-coverage related policy changes.

 

5.

Performs other job related duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

Education:  High school diploma or equivalent.  College degree preferred.  Personal and commercial lines insurance agent license required or must obtain license within one month of employment.  Requires the ability to meet insurer appointment criteria to represent the Agency as applicable.

Experience:  2-3 years of insurance experience required, preferably in property & casualty and/or personal lines insurance.

Skills:  Ability to communicate effectively through email, phone, and other means of communication.  Requires strong organizational and communication skills.  Ideal candidate is detail and deadline oriented, has the ability to multi-task, and can function effectively in a team environment

.  Requires proficiency with basic computer technology.

Mental Demands: Must have the ability to focus on task for extended periods of time.  Must be flexible and have the ability to work with a variety of tasks and employees.  Ability to plan, organize, be detail and deadline oriented and maintain a high accuracy rate.

Physical Demands:  Continuous sitting for extended periods of time.  Some walking, standing, bending, and reaching.  Frequent use of fingers and hands to manipulate computer, telephone and other office equipment.
