JOB SUMMARY

The Annuity Services Manager is responsible for managing the operations and relationships between the Annuity third party administrator and Wellabe as the annuity product owner for the organization.

  • Manage key operations between third party administrator and Wellabe.
  • Manage third party team(s) including relationships, satisfaction, expectations and accountability.
  • Responsible for addressing operational issues, questions, and discrepancies related to annuity accounts.
  • Responsible for addressing issues or complaints with third party, including using authority to challenge situations when necessary.
  • Manage vendor relationships and expectations.
  • Analyze data from third party administrators to ensure quality and service levels are being met.
  • Build and maintain strong internal partner relationships within product distribution.
  • Remain updated on various annuity products and features.

Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

  • Strong understanding of annuity operations including on boarding of agents with understanding of agent requirements before selling a policy, issuance of annuities and demonstrates good judgement on suitability exceptions, payment of commissions, administration of policies, etc.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or related field. Combination of education and/or relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Annuities.
  • 5+ years of experience working in insurance operations with a background in finance, insurance, or actuarial science.
  • Prior vendor management experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

·       Primarily works in an office environment (or in-home office) performing work that is sedentary which involves remaining stationary and working on a computer for long periods of time

·       Must be able to review, assess, and/or analyze data and figures by viewing a computer screen, including extensive reading.

·       Regularly communicates with others in-person, via video conferencing, electronically (including email), or by phone to exchange accurate information.
