Role Description
We are seeking a motivated Commercial Assistant Property Manager to join our team supporting a portfolio of client-owned properties. In this role, you’ll work closely with property managers to deliver exceptional service to our clients by ensuring properties are well-maintained, financially sound, and that tenants receive best-in-class support. What You'll Do
- Act as a key point of contact for tenants, addressing questions, service requests, and concerns with professionalism and urgency.
- Support property managers in representing ownership interests, maintaining strong tenant relationships, and enhancing property performance.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and maintenance teams to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of repairs, inspections, and capital projects.
- Assist with financial management, including budget preparation, expense tracking and reconciliations, billing, and collections.
- Assist in maintaining accurate property records, including leases, contracts, and tenant information.
- Conduct property inspections and help identify proactive maintenance and improvement opportunities.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience). Iowa real estate license is preferred but not required for this position.
- 2+ years of commercial property management, real estate, or related industry experience (association and 3rd-party management experience a plus).
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Professional communication skills for interaction with clients, tenants, vendors, and team members.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with property management/accounting platforms a plus.
- Client-service mindset with a proactive, detail-oriented approach.
