Merchants Bonding Company Foundation Giving May 2025

Merchants Bonding Company™ is dedicated to giving back through the Merchants Bonding Company Foundation. The Foundation recently completed its first full grant cycle under a newly structured schedule and is proud to announce $300,000 in donations distributed to 126 nonprofit organizations. 
 

Not only does the Foundation address the needs of the communities the company is a part of but it supports the causes that matter most to Merchants’ associates and partners. “As the volume of requests has grown, the Foundation implemented a twice-yearly funding schedule to ensure a more efficient and impactful review process,” said Therese Wielage, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at Merchants Bonding Company and Vice President of the Merchants Bonding Company Foundation. “This new structure allows us to thoughtfully allocate resources where they can make the greatest difference.” 
 

Introducing the Merchants Memorial Grant: Helping Kids Affected By Cancer Just Be Kids 

The Foundation furthers its impact by selecting a Charity of Choice each to year to be the beneficiary of the company’s internal fundraising efforts. Camp Heart Connection—a program of Children’s Cancer Connection—is 2025’s Charity of Choice and will be awarded the first-ever Merchants Memorial Grant, a new initiative reinforcing the Foundation’s vision of “improving the human experience for all children in our communities.” 
 

Camp Heart Connection provides free summer camp experiences for children and families affected by childhood cancer, offering them a chance to make joyful memories and connect with others on similar journeys. “Our 2025 campaign theme, Do S’more Good, perfectly captures the heart behind this effort,” said Stacey Cale, Vice President Human Resources at Merchants Bonding Company and Vice President of the Merchants Bonding Company Foundation. “We’re proud to help make it possible for kids affected by cancer to just be kids—laughing, playing, and enjoying the magic of camp.”
