General Function

The Finance Manager is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and analyzing data from various sources to assist management with key operational decisions. This individual has a strong attention to detail and accuracy, advanced Excel knowledge, the ability to work in a team or independently on projects, effective time management of multiple deadlines, strong multi-tasking skills, a strong work ethic, commitment to the company’s core fundamentals, and the ability to be flexible.

 

Reporting Relations:

Accountable and Reports to: FP&A Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring that all recurring monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting is delivered to management timely and accurately.

  • Analyzes data to predict the results of ongoing and future operations and initiatives.

  • Leads the team in the process of the annual budget along with monitoring results in relation to budgeting and forecasting expectations.

  • Coordinates the efforts to analyze financial statements of potential acquisition and divesture opportunities.

  • Collaborates with management to create a return on investment analysis on pivotal capital expenditure decisions.

  • Leads the process of both daily and long-term cash flow projections of the company.

  • Performs various project analysis and other ad-hoc research and analysis as assigned.

  • Analyzes data and current operations to identify opportunities for expense reduction.

  • Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting or finance preferred, but not required.

  • Experience with ERP systems, specifically SAP, and financial reporting tools is preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in an accounting or finance role preferred including supervisory experience in past roles.

Working Conditions:

  • The duties of this position are performed in a general office setting along with flexible work arrangements outside of the office.

  • Working attire on a normal day in the office is “dress for your day” with jeans being welcomed. 

  • Reports to work when scheduled and works expected number of hours.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Visual requirements include: ability to see detail at near range with or without correction.

  • Must be physically able to perform sedentary work: occasionally lifting or carrying objects of no more than 10 pounds, and occasionally standing or walking.

  • Must be able to perform the following physical activities: reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.

Calculator, telephone, copier, printer, and PC with Microsoft Office programs.

 

Contacts:

Has occasional contact with store personnel, supplies/vendors, customers, and various state agencies.
