Dentons Restructuring, Insolvency, and Bankruptcy lawyer Krystal Mikkilineni was recently named as a Des Moines Business Record Forty Under 40 honoree. The 40 business leaders are under the age of 40 and have demonstrated impressive career achievements and unparalleled community involvement.
Krystal is a shareholder at Dentons Davis Brown, where she serves as a US Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Practice Group Leader. She represents clients in the healthcare, agribusiness, senior living, manufacturing and retail industries on complex commercial reorganizations and restructurings, both in-court and out-of-court.
Krystal frequently writes and speaks nationwide on bankruptcy, insolvency, and restructuring. Passionate about helping others succeed, she actively shares her expertise with peers—collaborating with lawyers, judges, and insolvency professionals on topics such as distressed healthcare, family farm bankruptcy, executory contracts, consumer bankruptcy issues, third-party releases, and emergency bankruptcy petitions.
Through her volunteer work and board memberships with the Chrysalis Foundation and the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC), Krystal is dedicated to empowering women and girls in their academic and professional pursuits.
A strong advocate for women in bankruptcy law, she has mentored women attorneys since 2018 and is an active IWIRC member. In 2019, she co-founded the IWRIC Midwest Network and has since served as Vice Chair, Treasurer, and Chair. She is now Vice Director of News on IWIRC’s International Board of Directors.

Krystal also serves on the Chrysalis Foundation board of directors, supporting its mission to uplift women and girls in Central Iowa. She works with the organization to raise funds, ensuring that every dollar raised goes directly back to the community grant programs and scholarships.
