Pumpkin Walk Returns to Valley Junction October 26

West Des Moines, 10/8/25 – The Historic Valley Junction Foundation is pleased to announce the return of the annual Pumpkin Walk, presented by First National Bank, a Halloween-themed, family-friendly event in the heart of West Des Moines. The event will take place from 2:00pm-5:00pm on October 26 on 5^th Street in Valley Junction. Enjoy trick-or-treating at locally owned small businesses, hayrides through the district, thrilling magic from Mikayla Oz, dance performances by the Betty Hill Dancers, performances from Cirque Wonderland, kid’s activities, and free pumpkins available while supplies last.

The purpose of Pumpkin Walk is to have a gathering space for families to let kids be kids this Halloween season. This annual event regularly brings out 3,000 attendees looking to trick-or-treat in a historic downtown setting. This year, we are excited to add a series of three professional magic shows by Mikayla Oz at the stage in Railroad Park. Pumpkin Walk is made possible by our generous sponsors, including Presenting Sponsor, First National Bank, and Supporting Sponsor, Cirque Wonderland.
