R&R Realty Group Showcases DMAAC Student Artwork at the Arcadia Building

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa (October 5, 2026) — R&R Realty Group (R&R) will showcase original digital artwork created by Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) graphic design students on the large-scale video wall at R&R’s Arcadia building throughout October in recognition of National Arts & Humanities Month.

R&R installed the video wall as part of its redevelopment of Arcadia in 2025. Inspired by large-scale digital installations in other markets, the wall was designed to create a dynamic visual experience within the building. As the team explored its ability to continually feature new content, Stuart Clausen, IT Analyst with R&R Realty Group Technology Services, saw an opportunity to use the technology in a new way.

Stuart proposed inviting local colleges and universities to give graphic design students the opportunity to create original artwork specifically for the Arcadia display.

“The video wall gives us the ability to continually introduce something new to the building for the 8,600 people who pass through the lobby each month, and we saw an opportunity for local creativity,” said Stuart. “Designing for a display of this size gives students a chance to approach their work differently and see it come to life in a real-world environment.”

DMACC incorporated the opportunity into its Digital Artistry class, led by Heather Purdy, Program Chair and Professor of Graphic Design. Students created original static and motion-based digital artwork designed specifically to fit Arcadia’s video wall.

“When Stuart shared the idea, we thought it was a great opportunity to connect with local students and give them a unique place to showcase their work,” said Mark Rupprecht, President of R&R Realty Group. “We’ve been impressed by the creativity they brought to the project.”

R&R will feature the students’ artwork on the Arcadia video wall every Monday during the month of October in celebration of National Arts & Humanities Month.
