WDM Chamber Opens Registration for 4th Annual Athene Black and Brown Business Summit Presented by Wells Fargo

WEST DES MONES, IA (January 17, 2024) – The West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce (WDM Chamber) opens registration for the 4^th Annual Athene Black and Brown Business Summit presented by Wells Fargo.

Set to take place on Thursday, April 18^th, and Friday, April 19^th, this event promotes diversity, inclusion, and empowerment in the local, statewide, and national minority business community. It offers practical discussions, dynamic speakers, workshops, and networking. The theme for this year is Dreamers, Innovators, and Trailblazers.

“The Athene Black and Brown Business Summit has become a pivotal event for our community, embodying the spirit of diverse collaboration and empowerment,” said Katherine Harrington, President and CEO of the WDM Chamber. “As we open registration for the 4th annual summit, we invite businesses, entrepreneurs, and community leaders to join us in creating a more inclusive and thriving business environment. This year's summit is set to be a catalyst for diverse growth, and inspiration, fostering inclusivity, and forging meaningful connections.”

The award-winning hybrid event, which had nearly 600 attendees in 2023, features keynote speakers, a pitch competition where contestants have won over $100,000 in the last three years, and 75 panelists covering a variety of important industry topics. Panelists are from diverse backgrounds and experiences, providing insights and in-depth discussions.
