WEST DES MOINES, IA (Tuesday, December 3, 2024) – The West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce (WDM Chamber) has announced the hiring of Tricia Even, Jared Galligan, and Lauren Watson. Even will serve as the organization’s events and experiences coordinator, while Galligan and Watson will serve as the WDM Chamber’s new account executives. All three team members started on Monday, December 2, 2024.

“We are proud to welcome new talent to our team at the WDM Chamber, as we continue to grow and expand our impact in the community,” said Katherine Harrington, president and CEO of the WDM Chamber. “The addition of passionate, dedicated individuals strengthens our ability to serve our members and foster meaningful connections across West Des Moines and the region. Together, we look forward to shaping a vibrant future for the Chamber and the community, working collaboratively to create new opportunities for growth and success.”

Even, a recent graduate of the University of Iowa, earned degrees in Communications and Sport & Recreation Management, along with a certificate in Event Management. During her time at Iowa, she discovered her passion for event planning while working in the athletic department as part of the event management team. Even is dedicated to creating meaningful experiences that bring people together and foster strong community connections. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family and attending Iowa athletic events.

Galligan is dedicated to enhancing West Des Moines and the surrounding community, striving to achieve excellence in work, life, and entertainment. A resident of Des Moines for 17 years, Galligan is an alumnus of Drake University and DMACC and a graduate of Urbandale High School, experiences that have fostered a deep connection to the community. He previously spent two and a half years with Google Fiber, engaging directly with West Des Moines residents and contributing to fostering competition for fair pricing and improved internet quality. In his role at the West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce, Galligan will collaborate with local leaders and business owners to elevate West Des Moines as a premier destination in Iowa.

Watson, a South Dakota native, brings her passion for marketing, sales, and community connection to the West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce. After moving to Iowa for college, Watson fell in love with the state, where she met her husband. With a strong background in digital marketing and sales, Watson has a talent for fostering relationships and helping businesses thrive. Beyond her professional pursuits, Watson enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active in her church, and exploring all the opportunities the Des Moines area offers.
