West YP Seeks Experts on Workplace Boundaries for April 15 Event

WEST DES MONES, IA (FEBRUARY 27, 2025) – The West Des Moines Chamber’s West YP program is seeking leaders who have mastered the art of setting boundaries at work for an upcoming speaking engagement. A total of 10 dynamic professionals are needed who can share their experiences and insights at an event on April 15.

This unique event will focus on real-world lessons in overcoming burnout, managing expectations, advocating for oneself, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Instead of a traditional panel, speakers will lead small group discussions at networking tables, offering young professionals actionable strategies to build confidence and take control of their careers.

“We know that boundary-setting is one of the biggest challenges professionals can face,” said Kara Matheson, VP of Workforce Development and Culture at the West Des Moines Chamber. “We’re looking for speakers who can share candid, practical advice on how to navigate workplace expectations while protecting their well-being.”

Recommendations of others who come to mind or leaders who are interested speakers can email kara@wdmchamber.org for more details.
