What you will do:
- Develop detailed designs for commercial and residential sites, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards
- Prepare comprehensive construction documents using AutoCAD, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications
- Design grading and drainage systems to manage stormwater effectively and prevent erosion
- Implement erosion control measures to protect the environment and comply with regulatory requirements
- Work closely with other engineers, architects, and project stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards
- Maintain detailed project documentation and reports, ensuring all records are up-to-date and accurate
What you will need to be successful:
- B.S. in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Civil Site design experience with at least an internship at a civil engineering firm
- EIT certification or the ability to obtain certification
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D
- Experience with IDOT projects and/or certifications through IDOT
- Experience with construction observation
