Heart of America Group Announces First Retail Tenants for The Shoppes at Prairie Crossing in Altoona

ALTOONA, Iowa (October 7, 2026) Heart of America Group is pleased to announce the first retail tenants coming to The Shoppes at Prairie Crossing, a new retail destination within the 230-acre Prairie Crossing development in Altoona, Iowa.

The announcement marks a significant milestone in the continued growth of Prairie Crossing, a mixed-use destination located at the intersection of Interstate 80 and Highway 65, just minutes from Interstate 35. The Prairie Crossing development brings together shopping, dining, entertainment, hospitality, and future development opportunities in one highly visible Central Iowa destination.
