West Des Moines Chamber Announces 2024 WDM Candy Cane Trail

WEST DES MOINES, IA (Tuesday, October 15, 2024) – The West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the 2024 WDM Candy Cane Trail, running from November 1 through December 25, 2024. This festive, digital scavenger hunt is designed to support small businesses, retailers, and experiences throughout Central Iowa, making holiday shopping a fun and rewarding adventure.

Participants in the WDM Candy Cane Trail can earn points by visiting and checking in at participating local businesses. At the conclusion of the campaign, these points can be redeemed for prizes, making holiday shopping even sweeter.

“The WDM Candy Cane Trail encourages shoppers to explore and engage with our vibrant local community during the holiday shopping season,” said Tom Florian, Vice President of Membership & Strategic Marketing for the West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce. “It is a great way to support small businesses while adding a fun, festive twist to holiday shopping.”

The 2024 WDM Candy Cane Trail is supported by Holiday Spirit Sponsors Symetra and Syverson Strege, helping to spread cheer across Central Iowa. Shoppers of all ages are invited to participate, and those interested in sponsorship opportunities or participating as a location on the trail can visit wdmchamber.org/candycanetrail to learn more. There is no cost for consumers or businesses or organizations to participate in the program. However, businesses and organizations must be members of the West Des Moines Chamber to participate as a trail location.
