Project Manager II Foundation/Community Relations
What You'll Do
Principal Foundation and Principal Community Relations (F/CR) seeks a creative and strategic Project Manager to join the team. The successful candidate will function as the team’s “project hub” who connects the F/CR project spokes by facilitating information-sharing, solving problems and working with other enterprise teams and resources. This role requires someone who can thrive in a fast-paced work environment, is able to work independently as well as part of a team and within cross-functional work groups, is strategic, goal-oriented with a strong bias towards action, and is curious.
Project Management
Proactively and independently manage, or co-manage, F/CR activations from inception to completion tracking progress, supporting other team members, recruiting additional resources, securing logistical elements including activation site, on-site coordination, technology management, inventory management, and communications.
Keep teammates and business partners aligned through the duration of each project with clear, ongoing communication.
Responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing internal and external relationships pertaining to execution of F/CR activations including working closely with various partners to define activation/project scope, timeframes, and desired outcomes.
Educate internal audiences and manage their needs and expectations, serving as point of contact for email activity.
Deliver post-activation success metrics, collaborator feedback and deliver activation evaluation results.
Share lessons learned from past projects to help inform future work.
Participate in meetings to review projects; provide updates on progress; determine technical assistance and capacity needs.
Process Development
Contribute to organizational learning by sharing best practices and taking action to facilitate improvements.
Help evolve F/CR activation processes with an eye toward optimization, collaboration, efficiency, and efficacy.
Working with Director, memorialize processes and reinvent systems to optimize team functions, improve overall performance, and increase F/CR impact.
Communications
Working with enterprise communications and brand teams, create communication plans and schedules aligned with F/CR’s engagement and activation schedule to promote F/CR’s national programs and drive employee engagement with our CSR platform.
Communicate F/CR’s community engagement and philanthropic strategy to multiple internal constituencies -- e.g., provide updates about community priorities and coordinate their involvement in local, state, and regional events.
Other functions
Assist Principal employees, retirees, and advisors with CSR tool and provide technical training on use of CSR tool.

Who You Are
Associates degree or equivalent work experience plus 2+ years project related or leadership experience required
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience plus 3+ years project related or leadership experience preferred
Exposure to grant administration and/or nonprofit organizations highly desired
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong planning and interpersonal skills, and high attention to detail, accuracy, protocol, and deadlines.
Excellent writing ability accompanied by exceptional communication skills – diplomacy, customer service skills, and solid presentation skills.
Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously and ability to take ownership of assigned projects and to meet or exceed timelines.
Written and oral fluency in English; secondary language proficiency highly desirable.
Excellent brand and enterprise representative, with executive presence to represent the corporation and F/CR among internal and external constituents, including senior executives, global leaders and organizations and employees.
Some travel, including overnight stays required, and ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends, as required.
Preferred ability to lift 35 pounds.
Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)
$71250 - $95950 / year
Time Off Program
Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
