Network Engineer

Description

A top company in Des Moines is seeking a Network Engineer to join their high-performing infrastructure team on a contract-to-hire basis. This role plays a key part in supporting and modernizing network infrastructure across multiple locations—including national and international offices—while contributing to the organization's cloud

migration initiatives.

What You’ll Do
 

• Provide support and administration for core network infrastructure including Fortinet firewalls, Cisco switches, and F5 load balancers
• Troubleshoot circuits and perform device patching and upgrades
• Support communication circuits and connectivity for remote offices
• Assist with cloud networking (Azure/AWS) as the team transitions to the cloud
• Participate in project work and collaborate on long-term network strategies
• Join an on-call rotation and support occasional after-hours maintenance
  
   

Requirements

Key Qualifications:
 

• 4–5+ years of experience in network engineering and support
• Strong experience with network and circuit troubleshooting, patching, and upgrading network hardware
• Familiarity with cloud networking technologies such as Microsoft Azure and/or AWS
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Flexibility to adapt to business needs and participate in after-hours maintenance as needed
  
   

Nice To Haves
 

• Experience with ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) or similar segmentation technologies
• Scripting experience (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation and efficiencies
