West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce Announces Keynote Speaker for October Luncheon

WEST DES MOINES, IA (August 18, 2026) – The West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce (WDM Chamber) has announced Marc Dummer, CAIA, CIMA®, Managing Director and Client Portfolio Manager at Principal Asset Management, as the keynote speaker for its October Luncheon: Economic Forecast, presented by Shive-Hattery. The event will take place on October 15, 2026, at Glen Oaks Country Club.

Marc Dummer is one of Principal Asset Management’s leading voices on the economy, financial markets, and investment strategy. With more than two decades of experience, he helps business leaders, investors, and financial professionals understand complex topics such as inflation, interest rates, market volatility, global events, and long-term investment opportunities through practical, data-driven insights.

As Managing Director and Client Portfolio Manager, Marc leads the client solutions team representing Principal Asset Management’s multi-asset investment strategies. He joined Principal in 2003 and previously served as a Portfolio Manager overseeing real asset and liquid alternative strategies. Marc earned his MBA and bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Utah and holds the CIMA® and CAIA® designations.

The event will bring together business and community leaders from across the region for timely economic insights, meaningful conversations, and valuable networking opportunities. Registration for the October Luncheon is $37 for WDM Chamber members and $47 for nonmembers. Advance registration closes October 14.
