Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and develop the business continuity planning process and support the execution of the business continuity strategy
  • Provide support and consultation to stakeholders on business continuity and risk management
  • Schedule, facilitate, and document stakeholder input during business impact analysis and risk assessment meetings
  • Develop and provide training and awareness to stakeholders and reviewers
  • Aid in the development of supporting program materials, such as policies, business impact assessments, risk assessments, emergency response plans, business recovery plans, communication plans, metrics, reports, and training and awareness content
  • Keep abreast of industry best practices to help ensure the business continuity and risk management programs remain current and relevant to the needs of the business
  • Support incident management program as needed, keeping notes; scheduling meetings; creating metrics, reports and other related materials
  • Assist with risk and control assessments, risk analytics, risk reporting, and ongoing maintenance of the enterprise risk management program
  • Provide tactical execution and of the company insurance program; including coordinating updates and claims with the company’s insurance broker and providers.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related discipline

1+ years’ experience in Business Continuity, Emergency Management, Risk Management, Security, or related discipline.

 

Competencies: Ability to work well with diverse groups of peers; communicate positively and respectfully; provide excellent customer service to external and internal stakeholders; problem solving skills; self-motivated to work independently; balance workload assignments within time constraints; excellent written and verbal communication skills; business acumen, and retain strict confidentiality.

 

Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products preferred.  

 

Essential Functions:

 

This associate must have the ability to communicate clearly with people by phone, email and in-person in order to explain processes and consult in areas of business continuity and risk management. They must be an effective facilitator, have a strong attention to detail, and organizational skills. They need to be able to keep track of details and use common software. They need to be able to maintain accurate files and documents and to understand basic technology administration. The associate must be intuitive understand risk disciplines as well as identify gaps, research solutions, and make suggestions for resolution.

The associate’s work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards; and repetitive motion with substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The associate may, infrequently, be asked to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The associate is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures.
