Job Title:  Claims Examiner Intern

Location: West Des Moines

Terms: 12-weeks, full-time flexible 37.5 hours/week, in office

Pay: $23/hour

Start Date: Monday, May 19th (can be flexible)

End Date: Friday, August 8th (can be flexible)

What you'll do:

Assist the Claims Department with evaluating, investigating, and processing claims.
Support the team in gathering documentation, reviewing contracts, and analyzing claim details.
Work on claim files, helping to assess liability and prepare recommendations for claim resolution.
Communicate with claimants, consultants, and attorneys regarding claim status and updates.
Contribute to the preparation of reports and presentations for internal claims meetings.
Engage in cross-departmental learning, gaining exposure to surety, underwriting, and legal perspectives.
