Mortgage Loan Officer
Our client seeks a Mortgage Loan Officer to join their team.
This is a direct hire opportunity where you will earn up to $48,000 per year based on your experience, plus commission. You will work 100% onsite Monday-Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Some of your responsibilities as Mortgage Loan Officer include working collaboratively with the underwriting and processing team. As well as:
- Originating, secondary market, and closed ended residential real estate mortgages
- Working directly with prospective borrowers and applicants
- Issuing appropriate and accurate compliance documents
- Pricing loans according to company standards
- Fostering relationships
- Interviewing applicants
- Recommending loan products to fit customers’ needs
- Pre-qualifying prospective borrowers
- Informing customers of loan options and market conditions
- Gathering documents to close a potential loan
- Promoting products
- Developing and growing a new mortgage loan referral pipeline
- Proactively engaging with Realtors, Attorneys, Financial Advisors, CPA’s, Branch Partners, Community Organizations, etc.
- New Business Development activity (calling and meeting with referral sources)
- Generating real estate loans
- Meeting lending goals
- Attending all first-time homebuyer closings
- Providing expertise and support with loan resolution matters
- Supporting the processing and preparation of loan closings
- Motivating, influencing, and/or training
- Maintaining up to date knowledge of federal lending regulations governing residential real estate lending
- Other job duties as assigned
To qualify for the Mortgage Loan Officer position, you must have three to five (3-5) years of similar or related experience, as well as:
- 2-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years’ experience
- Proven track record in generating purchase loan applications and production volume
- Interpersonal skills
- Networking and relationship building skills
- Ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others
- Working knowledge of secondary market underwriting guidelines
- Excellent math skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Familiarity with Maxwell, Encompass and Optimal Blue programs is beneficial
- Ability to lift, move or transfer items up to 25lbs
- Bilingual is a plus
- Must be eligible to register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry
